Sportiness, driving pleasure and comfort - three attributes the premium car manufacturer BMW has always been renowned for. The latest edition of the BMW 7 Series takes luxury in the automotive area to a completely new level. We designed and developed an iPad app which appropriately presents the car’s innovative features. The app impresses with an extraordinary, intuitive operating concept, artistic perfection and integration of interactive media.

It's all about the Details

In order to visually highlight the various possibilities and details of the vehicle, icons were especially designed for this app.

Challenge

The challenge with this application was to present the elegance, comfort and features of the vehicle in an understandable way. Due to the international nature of the product, multilingualism and support for layout variants for markets, such as the United Arab Emirates, were absolutely essential. Since the vehicle was still top secret during the app's development phase, secure data storage had to be ensured.

How we made it awesome

To guarantee the best possible result, we developed a specially adapted data management system. This meets requirements, the variety of data and layout of the app. The BMW 7 Series Presenter is an iPad app for the worldwide market of BMW dealerships. Interested customers get exclusive insights into the new BMW 7 Series. Through various subject areas and interactive content, the app conveys information about production and vehicle features in ten different languages. The app also allows users to immerse themselves in the world of the BMW 7 Series.

Technology we used

The BMW 7 Series Presenter was developed in Swift for iOS. A specially developed server backend based on Django guarantees fast and reliable delivery of new content. With that we can also control the required security functions.
